Blog Rumor: Richt to TAMU??

Never heard of this guy.  But the Houston Urinal Cake went to the trouble to post it online. 

Probably full of shit - why in the WORLD would Richt be interested in TAMU?????

Sources familiar with the situation say Georgia coach Mark Richt has been talking with Texas A&M officials about the school's football coaching position,  blogger Brent Zwerneman reports via Twitter.
 
Richt is 106-37 during his time at Georgia. The Bulldogs advanced to this year's SEC title game, losing to No. 1 LSU.
 
But Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the Richt discussion is not true.
 
"Just a bunch of rumors flying around," McGarity told the paper.

But what allegiance does Richt really have with Georgia?  It's not like he went to college there or grew up there. 

I personally think Richt is a solid coach and can obviously keep a program running for a long time.  Georgia's sick of him, and I can't imagine he's too thrilled about that considering how much success he's brought Georgia.

As big and as much as UGA has a monopoly in the state of GA, Aggie has more money and resources. He may be thinking a nice change of scenery from Athens. Somewhere where they wouldn't ride his ass for 9 or 10 wins every year. The expectation is lower at Aggie and that may be more appealing. Who knows.
