Can we call and wake those assholes up and explain to them that Auburn fans don't like Alabama and want them to go to the Sugar Bowl?

Pokes will need approximately 45 of 174 voters to rank them No. 2. Most anti-rematch sentiment will be in Harris poll.

Are the announcers seriously blowing Alabama's nuts right now and talking about Oklahoma State making a statement about future championships?

Fuck ESPN.

Fuck ESPN.

I see it differently.  I see everyone saying, without a doubt, that Alabama is in.  They are saying it in a manner to provoke anger from everyone...especially the voters.

Ok, I can appreciate Gundy being up on his team.  I expect him to say his team deserves it.  Honestly, I'm not sure they don't.  But to predict that his team could score 36 or 39 on LSU's defense?  Pffft.  Pfffffffffffffft.   PFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTT.

Can't really argue too much with that statement, though. Nobody has scored more than 27 on them this season, and that was the first game against Oregon.

National sentiment overwhelmingly against it.  More than 70% oppose.

Not sure how OSU could be at #2 in the standings if the polls go with Bama. Polls have more weight than the computers.

Not sure how OSU could be at #2 in the standings if the polls go with Bama. Polls have more weight than the computers.

Because it's about points.

I can't remember exactly how it works, but teams get extra points for having #2 rankings.

And it's the point combination of the three polls that gives a team its BCS ranking.

So for example, it doesn't matter if a team wins the Harris and Coaches poll ranking but loses the computer poll ranking.  If enough Harris/Coaches voters voted a team #1 and #2, that could help them jump teams that technically have won more parts of the BCS. Those #1 and #2 votes give them extra points.

I literally rolled out of bed three minutes ago, so I wish I could explain this better.  Although, knowing the lunacy of the BCS, I don't think I could accurately explain how it works even if it was noon.

This is why the BCS and college football as a whole needs a complete overhaul:

Said Ok State needed to beat OU by 40 to have a case -- then I watched the game and saw how bad this OU team has become. Nevermind.

Mark May said that the reason Alabama should get a rematch against LSU is Alabama played more like LSU on November 5th and LSU played more like Alabama November 5th.

Meaning LSU caught Alabama on a bad day and Alabama caught LSU on a really good day.

I guess he's assuming if they play again, things will be "normal" and Alabama will win.

ESPN sucks.

Brent Musburger said that an Alabama-LSU rematch is a lot like the Giants-Patriots rematch in the Super Bowl.  Patriots were undefeated and a sure-fire victor over the Giants.  But then, the Giants shocked the world.

Then he compared the rematch to Rocky-Apollo from a fucking fictional movie.

ESPN enjoys splooge from elephants.
