Georgia or North Carolina Mountains?

Georgia or North Carolina Mountains?
« on: November 17, 2011, 11:39:06 AM »
The wife and I are thinking about taking a trip in December.

Anyone have any recommendations for cabins or locations in Georgia or North Carolina?

We've been to Gatlinburg, but I'd like to try something different and less touristy.

I don't know what your budget is, but the Inn at Biltmore House in Cherokee, NC is really nice.  Plus touring the House is pretty neat.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

$199/night.  Budget is definitely not that high.

But that is a good idea to tour the estate.

Went to a wedding at Wolf Mountain Winery in Dahlonega, GA.

Stayed in a cabin with a bunch of folks. It seems to be pretty much what you're looking for. A less touristy Gatlinburg.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Too late in the year to do the chicken dance.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Did they move it from Asheville? BTW - The casino in Cherokee is pretty decent.

Agree. Passed through there Sunday afternoon. N. Georgia actually has a very underrated wine industry. Amicolola falls near Dahlonega is a cool site to visit. Very tall waterfalls.

Yeah, most people don't realize it's really a mobile home.  It's a 250 wide.
