That's alright.  I'll let you buy me a pitcher tomorrow if it will make you feel better.

I do realize I have only until about 8:00 p.m. tomorrow to gloat.

Historically, Duke has won more games on the first season encounter; however Carolina has won more games in the second encounters of the season.  Both teams are 26 - 4 overall and 13 - 2 conference, a fairly even match with, perhaps, a slight advantage going to Duke for the home court at that quaint little gym of theirs.

Reminds me of a stat I heard a week or two ago just before Clemson played NC.  The announcer said that Clemson goes to Chapel Hill, where they haven't won in the last 55 meetings.  Did I hear that right?  Now, Clemson has historically been a middle of the road ACC team.  They have their spurts where they look like they've put it all together, then normally fade...just like their foosballz team.  But they've got ACC caliber athletes and are/should be capable of beating anyone on a given night most years.

But 55 games?  That should equate to 55 years, no?  I think Winthrop could at least go 1-54 in that stretch. Even Auburn has come out of Rupp with a W. Did I hear correctly?

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

You heard correctly, Snaggle.  The Tarheels have a stat of 56 - 0 against Clemson for games played at Chapel Hill.  The record actually goes back to 1922 as I recall.  Now, they have beat the Tarheels a time or two in meetings at Clemson.  The game venue switches seasonally but we usually only meet them once a year outside of the ACC tournament, if then.

Holy shiotsky.  Climpsum gets a huge point and laugh for that.  Okay, what's the deal on the ACC scheduling?  Did they switch it around this year.  I try to go to the FSU/Duke game every year it's in Tallahassee (Had a conflict this year).  For a few years there, they stopped the home and home and just played each other one time.  This year, they went back to home and home.  Realign divisions?  I know the SEC did away with divisions this year.  The only thing that did was put Auburn that much closer to the bottom.

It's a Byzantine arrangement.  UNC only played FSU once this year at FSU; I suspicion that the same arrangement was made for Duke.  The Tarheels (and Duke) only repeat play with five or so rivals within the ACC during regular season and the locations alternate between the institutions.  The same rotation occurs with teams that only meet once except they change locations seasonally.  This year the Tarheels hosted Clemson; next year they will host us, for example; and the teams will meet just once during regular season.  Our five repeat rivals are Duke, Maryland, Miami, Virginia, and NC State.  Some seasons Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech are mixed in that five (with others taken out such as Miami and Virginia).  Like I wrote, it's a Byzantine arrangement.
