I understand the loses-have no problem with them. It was expected this year. But getting ass raped-the defense getting worst (year to year) I just don't understand. We look bad and we look bad looking bad.

Hey, I get that. You watch the defense, we're poor fundamentally. AND that's been evident for 3 seasons. The offfense...suffer from lack of QB, lack of OL experience, lack of playmaker WR, NOT "poorly designed plays". Hell the defense doesn't really suffer from poor scheme so much as poor fundamentals.

You have down games. It sickens me to see them come like they did today vs UGA, who I thought we could beat, but it happens.

We, based on "expert opinion", exceeded expectations. If they improve next year like they did off of 2009, then we have a shot at winning the west next year. I'm ok with that.

This far into the season our young guys are no longer young guys. They should be taking steps forward by now but they aren't. That is on the coaches. Ted roof has been here 3 years now plus some other bozos and not once in three years has he or they shown that he or they can consistently put a decent defense out there. We blow on pass defense and have continued to blow even last year with all that experience. If it weren't for Fairley and Rocker bailing us out on defense all last year it would have became clearer sooner.

Go back and analyyze. Malzahn folded like a tent in 2009 against the core SEC teams. Sure he looked great against cup cakes and alsorans but the meat of the SEC saw his offensive production go way down. Go ahead and look at his numbers against those teams in 2009. You might be shocked. He looked unbelievable last year because of possibly the greatest football player to come through Auburn except maybe Bo.

Our offensive line can't block squat. Terrible play calling, hello anyone remember 3rd and 2 from the Clemson game and no Dyer? Crap like that is what I'm talking about. Also Malzahn doesn't understand pulling schemes all that well apparently. Crap like what Oregon did last year is what I'm talking about. Leaving some Nick Fairley a clean shot on your qb thinking you'll be ok doing that. Well, that junk doesn't work and WE'RE doing it now. Hello, asking for trouble against a good team when you do that. Fairley blew that play up and now it's obvious we're doing the same stupid things with our pulling. What's worse we cannot get a push up the middle. Most of our big gains have been to the outside. We have no power run game to the inside and it ain't Dyer. He's being met at the line almost every time and he's trying his best to get all he can.

Sorry youth and inexperience excuse was for the first 8 games of the season. We should be past that now but we aren't. Our issues are coaching.

at the very minimum we need to fire Roof, Lolley, and Thigpen and cross our finger that Malzahn isn't being exposed and he really is good or you guys can forget about any more championships in the future.

Look I KNEW we were young and inexperienced this year. I knew we were going to lose 4-6 games but not this badly. There's no excuse for it.

You have to admit that our defense last year was pretty subpar considering we had Fairley (a superstar) and eight seniors playing.

I'll offer a solution. We need to be on the phone with Bumpas at TCU. We need to tell him he can bring whoever he wants and offer him $600,000/yr. Since being hired as their DC in 2004 his defense has finished...

2005 - finished 12th in NCAA
2006 - finished 5th in NCAA
2007 - finished 16th in NCAA
2008 - finished 2nd in NCAA
2009 - finished 6th in NCAA
2010 - finished 1st in NCAA
2011 - currently in a total rebuilding year he is 36th but only one team returned less than them for 2011 and it was us. Care to guess where we rank? Not even close.

Gene needs to be on the phone tonight with him and offer him a step up to a bigger school and more money. He does know his stuff at least.
