What will it take to win?

I'm hopped up on cold medicine, but I've pretty much reached the point of no return.  I think Auburn pulls the upset.

If you were gameplanning for the LSU Tigers as Auburn's coordinators, what would your strategy be?

Seriously, I still think Auburn matches up better with LSU than they did with Clemson or Arkansas.
IF...and of course, it is a big IF...Jeff Whitaker and company can plug the gaps and keep their running backs in check, they will have a fighting chance in this game.

Also, the offense cannot turn the ball over in this game if they want to have any chance whatsoever to win.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I like this strategy...but do you think we'll really have to punt any Saturday?  Well, maybe once.

I am calling the win, but I have no idea why I feel that way.  Maybe its the improved defense and the fact that I don't think LSU's offense is that great or maybe its my hopeful optimism that Clint Moseley will channel Aaron Rodgers incarnate or perhaps it is the glue I have been sniffing.  Either way I think the Tigers win.

I think you've hit on something here.  Does anybody know somebody on the staff?  We need to get them a message that if we can score more than LSU we might -- and I stress might -- have a chance to win.

On the serious note?  Scoring is an issue.  Through four weeks we were cruising along in the high 30s per game.  Moving the ball, putting points on the board.  And then the wheels fell off.

16. 14. 17.

No excuse for putting just 17 on a Florida team that gave up 23 to UT, 38 to UA and 41 to LSU and was ready to quit.

Even as improved as the defense is, it will take a minimum of 24 points to beat LSU IMO.  Considering that we only scored 24 at home with Cam last season....... suffice it to say my confidence level is not as high as Townhall's.

Bama?  I feel better about.  They've yet to play anybody who forced Pussy McTattoo to beat them.  By the time we get there, I think we can put "My Momma Got Three Houses" Richardson in a box.   We will have a chance.

I think our scoring issues may be solved. The majority of the offense stalling was a result of Trotter playing scared. I didn't see that in Clint and he's our starter this week.

This is exactly where I am.

Add that this is playing in Baton Rouge and we get Alabama at home and I say our chances go up with beating Alabama and down with LSU. In addition. Clint Moseley will have a couple of games under his belt at QB.

The reason for the decline was Trotter got gradually worse for some reason. Actually, that is not true. I just think the first couple of game were luck of the draw. We played weak defenses so he had a chance to look like shit and still score points because our athletes were better.

Also, Blake not being on the field has hurt too. Benton needs to sit with Trotter. He drops too many easy to catch passes...

There is ZERO room for error this week though.
