No way they'll lose that co-pay and Insurance charge two sentences or not. Hell, anytime I need to see a doc worth a damn I have to come down there to Dothan or Columbus, so there is the gas money too; all for a two minute greeting.

Speaking of this, my wife is also feeling these ailments. The women never drinks milk, skinny and gives the treadmill hell. Now, she has a couple of stress fractures in her foot. Well, she had an appointment at Southern Bone there in Dothan last Tuesday. We get there, doc has jury duty and a 3 hr wait to see a different doc. That shit does.not.work with little rugrats with you. I was pissed and the nurse damn well knew it. I explained that I had to leave work early, check my kid out of school and waist gas from an hour drive for this? Just saying these things to the nurse made me realize how old I was.

Had the MRI on my back Monday evening. Haven't heard back yet so I called the doc's office and they have the results but the doc likes to go over those in person with the patient. He can see me Monday. So, I have to spend the weekend wondering if I have a herniated disc, goat aids or what. The key is, if I make the appointment and go in the office...he can charge me. My money is on teh Goat Aids.

If they knew it earlier, they could have given you a courtesy call to let you know.

Calling the doc here in a few to set up an appointment.

It's a SB&J doc I'm seeing too, but he's a good friend of mine so I thought I'd get a little preferential treatment. Nope, his nurse didn't care. He can see you Monday...but what if I have...he can see you Monday....but goat aids have been running rampant around....we'll see you Monday at 10:00, and bring your Blue Cross card and $30.00 co-pay.

Damn it.

Oh, and I just read up on goat aids. One symptom is a hard knot below the knee cap....among other things.

Dammit, I am doomed. I hear that drinking wine will speed up the rate at which goat aids works. Apparently it will fuck your back up, raise your BP and cause you to not be able to sleep at night without the aid of alcohol and Tylenol PM.

I am seeing the Ortho at Sports Med on Monday. So I get the entire weekend to get stupid drunk and somehow fall and make it worse.

Her Doc is Dr. Warner I think. I did notice the "Co-pay is due at the time of services" tattooed all over the place. I think I counted 5 signs in just one of the waiting rooms.

Seriously though, that shit hurts. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I've broken bones before and it didn't hurt as bad. I wasn't aware a knee could be that sore. But then again, my meniscus was totally detached from the bone and they had to fish it out of the back of my knee and reattach it with stitches and some biodegradeable screws (never heard of such a thing in my life). I never imagined how difficult it is to do every day shit with a bad wheel. I couldn't imagine how difficult it must be for somebody with an amputation.

I walked around bone on bone (no homo) for like 6 months, which probably made things worse. I couldn't take the pain anymore so I had it looked at. If there really is something that needs to be fixed, get it done man. Me waiting to see somebody and get it fixed is probably why I'm in the situation I'm in right now.
