Here I was all hyped up for the first huge SEC game of the year...and Arkansas didn't show up.  At least not yet.

Alabama's had a terrible field goal kicker for two years now, and they line up for a 54 yard field goal.  If I'm Arkansas, I'm screaming fake or quick kick.  So if I'm Arkansas, I'm guarding the fake.

Someone didn't coach them up on that one.

GIMMICK OFFENSE!!!

On tha real, why the fuck didn't Arkansas call a timeout in that 30 second gap in which Bama switched formations before snapping the ball?

They've looked timid this entire game.

They should have called timeout.  Or maybe rush the passer who had happy feet on the previous down.

Three Arkansas players out.
One Alabama player out.

What happens to our SEC West stock if all of their players get injured?

Yeah, and Hog receivers as good as I've seen after a catch.
I missed hearing Bequette's reason for being out.

McCarron is a liability.

Two times he's gotten lucky to just pussy flick the ball to Richardson.

If Arkansas will put a man on Richardson, Bama doesn't score right here.

Another Bama player hurt by the way.

Everyone will injure themselves, and we win the SEC.

McCarron scares the shit out of me. He throws into small windows that he shouldn't. Windows that won't be windows against better SEC teams. So far it has worked out OK, but it will fuck us at some point this season. Other than that, and a few other minor things, I can't really complain. I wouldn't want the game to ride on his play, though.

Defense? Shit. No narrative needed there.

With that said, I'm terrified of Florida. Muschamp knows Saban's defense, because it's basically what Muschamp runs. Our offense is going to have to get alot better really quick.

I don't think it matters much, RWS.

That defense is straight up nasty.  Add in Maze's punt returning ability, and you're looking at 2009 all over again.

The only thing to stand in Bama's way right now is complacency.

McTat shoots from the hip, thinks on his feet...he's the straw that stirs the drink, the LOOK OUT damn that was almost a pick by the Arky d lineman. Well anyway they have a strong run game and an aggressive defense that give folks da biness from start to finish.

I'm pissed that they couldn't score from 1st and goal on the 1, but 197 yards against a good SEC is fine with me.  Can't really complain about that.  McCarron did try a pass or 2 that he shouldn't have, but 15-20 isn't bad.

The defense is big, fast, and looking to hit someone hard.  Arky had a good drive in the 1st with underneath passes.  After a few big hits, they were less inspired to catch those passes.  I think the late hit by Dial was stupid, because the QB was trying to throw it away, but I'm liking a defense that wants to get to the QB.  Watching Wilson get pounded pass after pass reminded me of something an AU coach said this week.  Sacks aren't necessary to play good defense.  There was only 1 sack by Alabama, but Wilson was hit at least 10 times, and hit hard every time.

A lot of people are whining about Alabama's aggressive defense.  Too many helmet to helmet hits.  Too many almost-late hits.

Similar to 2007 when LSU had their own youtube video.

Sorta like last year when Auburn had the dirtiest player of all time with Nick "2 late hit penalties" Fairley.

Arkansas sucks or at least the offensive coordinator does.  The only team in the SEC that can compete with Bama is LSU.  It is a two team league this year.  I'm pullinng for Boise now.

You guys can point out your flaws all you want, but you have a damn good team right now. I would trade with you in a minute. Your d is nasty.

LSU/BAMA, barring nothing changes between now and then, is the game of the year now.

That is all.
