Anyone listen to Stan and Eli?

97.3 The Zone kicked off today as a competitor to WJOX in B'ham. I caught an hour or so of the Stan White/Eli Gold morning show and I've gotta say, it was a refreshing change of pace. Very fair and respectful with actual football talk.

One of the first comments made was that "there will be no character assasination on this show."

I admit I'm not tickled about listening to Eli Gold ramble on about Alabama's tradishun, but considering the alternative is Jay Barker, I'll take Eli every time.

Anyone else listen?

I live in Dothan so....no.

However, Brando was back on this morning crowing over how they changed their mind and he will be allowed back on as a regular guest of Finebaum. I was overjoyed.

He also said he wasn't going to talk to Legend, Tammy, K-Dub and I-Man. That was, at least, good.

Brando is another one that I wish I had some other option for. Tim looooves him some Brando and he's never been wrong a day in his life.

I do like listening to Matt Coulter. The show sucks today. It's just a big line of bobo honkers telling him they missed him and want to touch his peter.

He has a very laid back way on the radio. I know he's a bama wonk, but he's not offensive with it and never has been.

I'll listen to this every day.

My hubby remembers Brandick from his days as a posrtscaster in NOLA. He said he was a dick then and apparently nothing has changed.

My next guest started out calling games for the Arizona Wildcats back when I was doing sports for WINZ in Tupelo Mississippi just before CSS begged me to come do the play by play on their Saturday telecasts with Todd Blackledge, who of course went to ESPN about 3 months before I signed a huge deal to take over the lead anchor of the biggest Saturday football shows in history....and of course as you all know, I stayed there for 3 years before Coach K convinced ESPN that I was the only one qualified to do the Sunday night ACC telecasts, which of course everybody watches, but that just became part of my rigorous schedule after CBS crawled on hands and knees to beg me to.....
