Watched it too and thought the same thing. Boise has a damn good team for the schedule they face. I wouldn't limit it to the SEC. I think they have 2-3 conference losses in the ACC, the PAC 8/10/12, the Big 10 and so on. Screw that nothing to play for win over OU several years ago when they had to pull everything out of their ass to scrape by....OU annhialates that club 9 out of 10 years. Virginia Tech pummels them 31-17 75% of the time. Nebraska owns that ass more times than not.
The thing about Boise is, while they do have some athletes on the club (And I personally think Kellen Moore could QB any real contender to a BCS bowl or title game..he's real good), the bottom line is, they play 1-2 "big" games every year. How hard is it to get pumped for USC in a bowl game if you're Boise? How hard is it to get pumped up if you're OU and your dreams got crushed and you now have to settle for upstart Boise in a bowl? Real prestigious.
Here's the deal. Could Boise do this with the week to week grind of....
Arkansas...oohh, miraculous win, we're on cloud 9...and now we can't wait to go to...
The Swamp. Damn...how about following that up with South Carolina....then take a break with Western Kentucky...we're back on track but holy fuck, we've got to go into Tuscaloosa? Wait, time out...I'm tired. Can't we just switch them out with New Mexico State? We always look so gooood against them.
