A View From the Chop...
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:47:51 AM »
..some of you have already visited.  I can see that from hidden places...

www.auburnchopper.com is up!

Some will like it.  Some won't.  No grudges, no digs.  Support even.  Should be a fun site once I have everything up and going.  Will be supporting lots of great sites, forums, blog and happenings from around AU and other things I just feel like posting.  Have some contributions coming in from good people and from good places.  Should be interesting!

Super simple right now, but I hope to see some of you visit and send suggestions my way if you like!

Thanks!

Obvious question:

What's the point?  No offense but it seems sort of self-aggrandizing.  If you were a former Auburn player or an ex-Auburn administrator or even a used-to-be Auburn beatwriter I could see the point of a "here are my views" kind of thing.  But just some random dude?

I don't get it.  It sorta smells of ego.

What's your goal here?  Do you want to compete with Shaneblog and Legend Island?  Because it's my humble opinion that we don't need that.

Knock yourself out if this is your dream or something, but I kinda don't see the point.

Hell. His opinion is as valid as most of these suck-ass so-called sportswriters out there today.

My view is, if I don't like it, I won't go there. It's like telling the skinny chick that wants new boobs that she is only getting them so she'll feel better about herself. Yeah. So what. You can look....or not.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

art vandelay.  stupid and not original.  funny 15 years ago.

the arizona backdrop.  i get it.  lame.  a giant t-rex would make more sense.  but whatever.

you should have stuck to being a former aubie and piloted apaches.

we don't care if you posted from an iphone.  doesn't everyone own one these days?

good luck.

Don't expect everyone to get the point right now.  Appreciate some of the feedback.  As I mention in several places... Things will change.  Just started.

As far as personal reasons, or what is driving it?  What drives anyone to write or state an opinion?  Kind of a loaded question that could be debated in four thousand different directions.  So I won't here, especially now.  There is NO point to that.  Just read.  ...or don't.

As far as the Art Vandelay name... It's a why not, but who cares name... I really don't care.  I did find the outdated response coming from "nookie" kinda funny though.  Excuse me, Mr. Durst...  I'll be sure to consider your up-to-date terminology in the future, but it's simply a name to go by for now.

I do agree with the iPhone statement...

All of us here post our views and opinions. While this site isn't named after anybody in particular, there isn't that much difference in what Chop is doing and what goes on here every day. Last I checked, there was a thought or two on the front page of the X.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."
