It makes sense geographically. Does it make monetary sense? Does the Tallahassee TV market take the SEC somewhere it wants to be? Does the FSU $$$$$$ make the SEC a better conference? Academically...not even going to touch that.

I still say IF expansion has to happen...and I'm against it....FSU is my first choice, followed by GT and Clemson.  The rivalries with many SEC teams are already in place for all 3 of these schools.  TA&M makes no fucking sense at all.

Clemson playing Bama back to back then playing us 3 years in a row leads me to guess they are the likely target form the ACC.

Adding Florida State would be like adding Notre Dame, it's a national TV market because of the success in the '90's.  Also with FSU you add a better than average basketball program and a top tier baseball program.

It would expand the reach of the SEC.  I don't know if it will help them carry all that extra money though.

I can see us reaching out to FSU but I'd hate to pick up A&M.  Unless it's about the money.

It's not a prom, it's business.  Any potential moves will be governed by one thing, and one thing only...MONEY!  Not "they'd be a great fit", "they're a natural rival to...", "geographically they're a good fit" or bullshit like "let's replace Vandy with to be more competitive".  It's about money, and it's not about anything you hear fans blabber about on talk radio. 

If it's mutually profitable for FSU and the SEC, then it goes.  If not, as they say: "bullshit walks".
