Like it or not, we NEED Vandy for academic ratings.
I am guessing Mizzou and TAMU, plus GT and TBD.
The funny thing is this: TAMU fans are all saying how they are going to join the biggest badest muther-effin conference in football, yo... fuck Texas. We rulz...
But yeah, you Aggie dipshits. You ARE about to join the biggest badest muther-effin conference in football, yo. You couldn't win in the Big Twelve - how the FUCK do you think you are gonna compete in the SEC, home of the last FIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS?
Aggies gonna get cornholed.
Local sports media also seem to think that Aggies get no recruiting boost from joining the SEC, since the MooCows and the Okies get first and second pick of anyone and everyone they want in-state - and the ones they don't get go to SEC schools anyway. UT's athletic department's NET REVENUE last year was more than TAMU's entire athletic department budget, yet all of a sudden these Texas blue chippers are gonna want to go to TAMU instead of UT or OU just because TAMU is a member of the SEC? These blue chippers want to play FOR a good team in the SEC, not just play AGAINST a good team in the SEC. And God bless Mike Sherman, but the Ags ain't it.
Bottom line - I am still not sure why the Aggies think they will get any more respect in the SEC than they did in the Big12. They will get Miss State and Kentucky kind of respect - in other words, still second class citizens.
