Tide's Trent Richardson in hit & run incident
Tuscaloosa, AL (WSFA) - University of Alabama football player Trent Richardson was the victim of a hit & run collision Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 1:30am in the 2300 Block of 4th Street in Tuscaloosa.

Details are limited, but Tuscaloosa police say someone hit Richardson's vehicle and left the scene. Officers found the suspect vehicle and issued a citation.

Richardson, a junior running back for the Crimson Tide, told authorities he did not wish to prosecute on a Menacing Call charge and the case was closed.

The suspect was never identified and Tuscaloosa police declined to provide additional details.

It would go along the lines of, Trent Richardson was almost killed by a drunk auburn fan as he was escorting elderly women home from church wed night. Trent turned the other cheek and did not press charges. It was just his sheer size and athletic ability that kept him from dying in this hit and run accident.

I do not get the hype for this guy. He made a few good runs. He also gets stuffed a lot and he gets hurt a bunch too. I do not get the Heisman hype for a guy who has only started when the Ewok was recovering from a knee injury.

Didn't you hear? He can bench press 600 pounds.

Well, that's all Coach Screamsacrazy would allow him to do. He could probably do more. Probably 1000 pounds.
