I know it sucks for the guy, but this will probably be good for him in the long run.

If he is a question mark in terms of work ethic, giving him a load of money would be the worst thing for his future.

A national championship is a wonderful thing, but if you're not enough without it, you'll never be enough with it.

Yeah...that's a huge risk.  And not only that, they probably could have traded their 1st round pick and picked him up 2nd round or late 1st round.

To be honest, all of the remaining quarterbacks that were left for Tennessee's first pick would be risky, but I just dislike Jake Locker.  Maybe it's because he is a Pac-10 player.  Maybe it's because between flashes of brilliance, he displays long streaks of inconsistency.  Maybe it's because his style of play makes him more prone to injury.

Again, none of the other remaining quarterbacks were particularly more impressive than the others, but I would have personally liked Ponder or Gabbert.  Gabbert's overrated, but has potential...I guess.  Ponder had an excellent showing at the combine and at the senior bowl.  Just...any fucking body aside from Locker.

Fuck.

And, probably great for Fairley...he won't arrive as "the guy".  He'll have to work at it.

I mean, what the hell was going on in that war room?

"Well, we could fill some needs at corner, QB, or safety."
"Or we could draft Fairley and just fuck people up all year."
"Brilliant!"

Robert Quinn to the Rams.

Good pick if he lives up to the hype.  The Rams are going to be a good football team pretty soon.

Robert Quinn sat out last season and STL still picked him in the first round. That may be why they SUCK every year.
