Well, from what I know...which isn't much, if the girl doing the beating (the one in white) is tried as a youth then her Mom....the one that said, "She had it coming" will be the one liable....Right?  If she's liable, then she's going to Prison.  Notice that the Only video is the one where the girl is lying on the couch in the Brodie Croyle position.....
Here's what I think went down, and I don't think I'm to far off when I state this....
The girl that got beat up said something about one or two of the girls on either her Myspace or as gossip among friends, possibly one of the girls or boys that were involved....
The cheerleaders then decided that they'll show her getting her ass beat on their Myspace to humiliate the girl.  
They asked her to come hang out, or whatever, then they all beat the Crap out of her, maybe even the guys....
That's when the girl was knocked unconscious and lost her hearing in one ear.  The girl in white then told the person holding the camera to start recording.  Then she proceeded to slap the knocked out girl, until she came to.
Then the girl in white started punching that girl while the camera was recording....also,
notice the girl in red that jumps in to get a few slaps and punches to the back of the head and how she was quickly pushed away...as to say, I want everyone that sees this, see that I'm the only one that's beating her up not knowing that she has already gotten the crap beat out of her.
The girl then tries to make her way to the door, that's when the girl in white stopped her from leaving (Kidnapping) and proceeded to hit her again, and again....mainly with her forearms at this point.  That's what I think went down.

Also, when the girls where in jail, they started laughing about hoping that they wouldn't miss cheerleading practice the next day.

the parents are only liable in a civil court.  Every person is held accountable for their criminal actions, and no one else is.  So the mom is safe from any criminal charges, (unless FL has some crazy criminal statutes, i'd have to research this, which i'm not going to do.) 

But in Civil Court, parents are held responsible monetarily for the actions of their minor children.  For example, if you're in a car wreck with a 16 year old, you don't sue the kid, you sue his or her parents.

I think that you're over-analyzing this.  With your blow-by-blow review, you've already wasted too much time on something of no consequence to anyone.  Seriously, let's just exterminate them.  Nobody will miss them.

'Dr. Phil' Intervenes in Beating Case
Staffers for the TV psychologist help teen charged in gang attack bail out of jail.

BARTOW | A planned TV segment for the "Dr. Phil" McGraw talk show about the taped beating of former Mulberry High cheerleader Victoria Lindsay has been canceled after staff members helped one of the accused girls bail out of the Polk County Jail.

It's another bizarre turn in a case that has drawn national media attention to eight teenagers whose intent, according to Polk sheriff's officials, was to post the beating video on YouTube and MySpace Web sites.

Staff members for the "Dr. Phil" show helped Mercades Nichols - one of eight teens facing adult charges in the case - post bail Friday night.

A spokesman for the show said in an e-mail to The Ledger on Sunday that posting bail went beyond the show's guidelines for helping guests who will appear on the show.

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities," Louis DiCenzo, a show spokesperson, wrote in the e-mail. "In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

Polk County sheriff's spokesman Scott Wilder said only one of the eight teens, Stephen Schumaker, remained jailed on Sunday. Britney Mayes bailed out of the Polk County Jail on Sunday.

A video on the Web site of WTVT Fox 13 in Tampa showed an unnamed producer from the "Dr. Phil" show escorting Nichols and family members out of the Polk County Jail on Friday night.

When Nichols was asked for comment by reporters, the producer of the show replied: "I told you once, they have exclusivity signed," he said on the video segment.

After a barrage of questions by media, the producer, continually claiming the family had signed an exclusivity contract with the show, uses his body to block cameras and reporters from the family.

With tension building, he yelled back, "They are answering no questions."

The producer, who did not give his name, helped the family into a car and left.

When reached by phone Sunday afternoon, Christina Garcia, Nichols' mother, declined to comment on the incident.

The eight teens, whose ages range from 14 to 18, face kidnapping and misdemeanor battery charges. Three also face a felony charge of witness tampering.

The girls accused in the beating include April Cooper, 14; Britney Mayes, 17; Kayla Hassell, 15; Brittini Hardcastle, 17; Cara Murphy, 16; and Nichols, 17. The other two teens are Zachary Ashley, 17, and Schumaker, 18, who were accused of acting as lookouts during the incident.

County Judge Angela Cowden set bails ranging from $30,000 to $37,000 for each during their first court appearances Friday. The State Attorney's Office said all will be tried as adults.

McGraw drew criticism earlier this year when he confronted troubled pop star Britney Spears at the UCLA Medical Center during a stay at the facility.

At one point, McGraw had planned an episode of the "Dr. Phil" show about Spears, but quickly abandoned the idea. He has since apologized for discussing his visit publicly - but not for going to see her.

I'm going to step in here and ask "what's the big deal?"

Kids have been fighting for years.  I hated the kid next door when I was growing up.  When I was about 13, several friends and I hatched a plan to flush him out of his room with a M-80 lobbed into his window and then assault him with all manner of fireworks when he ran out the door. We just didn't film it.

When I was 16 and busting this older guy's girlfriend I fought him six or eight times. At first it was just me and him after school.  But when he couldn't convincingly whip my ass man-to-man, he brought a posse. And then so did I. Eventually it became more of a street fight. About once a week I could count on him being in the parking lot with his crew. I'd come with mine. And then we'd go. Nobody filmed that either, although cops were called finally.  Bloody faces and hands, we denied everything. Nobody was fighting, we were just hanging out.

Sad thing was that after a couple of months of us beating the hell out of each other, we finally went to her and demanded she make a choice.  She chose. Another guy. Stupid whore.
