If somebody had tapes that put the nail in the coffin on the topic that Cam knew what diddy was doing, there is no way the NCAA would let AU skate on that. We wouldn't be having this conversation right now. The other side of debate is, the reinstatement committee takes the information given to them by the school when they consider reinstatement.
While this is true, you have to consider, the investigative arm of the NCAA was all over this before AU ruled Cam ineligible that Monday after the Iron Bowl. Normally when a school rules a kid ineligible for whatever, they turn over info to the re-instatement committee, and they make a decision if what the school gave them passes the smell test. If not, investigators will show up. In AU's case, this all happened in reverse. Certainly the investigative arm would have told the re-instatement arm "Hey, we heard tapes. Cam knew about his dad soliciting funds from MSU boosters, and he's ineligible."
