Good letter but I would not hold my breath on a response.

Even though he said this:

I've tried to answer every phone call, email (even the ones that threatened my kids etc.), tweet, text. I'll keep doing that... here is my e-mail jim@joxfm.com

I've known Dunnaway for years.  He will respond.  He won't admit to it, but will respond.

I would probably respect it more if the person writing it had more posts.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Another point well taken.  It's all about post cred.

Post count smack?

Really?

That is what this place has come to?

This forum used to have so much promise, what with the talk of dog fistings, old spring break and prom pictures, bowlcuts, burned fingers and such, now it has been reduced to post count smack.

I don't even know you people anymore...

Hate to be a cold water guy, but I believe part of JD's story to be possible.

Some fuckface told me that same joke last night and laughed like it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard.   I didn't make the connection.  Had no idea what he was talking about.  I shrugged it off as stupid.

The part where JD loses cred, though, is that he retweeted or twatted it or whatever. If he didn't understand, why forward it?

That's the problem.  He's in the news business.  It's his job to catch these kinds of things and report news in a clear, concise manner.

All other rivalries can just bow to Bobby Lowder and Jimmy Rains getting on the short-wave radio today and yelling about "The Crimson Cockroaches" who perpetrated this against the "Auburn Family." (BTW, the chances of one or both of these programs going on probation in the next three years just went through the goddamn roof, because to hell with dirty pool, they're snapping the cues in half and swinging.)

I know I have said it before, but I honestly fear just that.

Trees or no trees, this is the WAR I was talking about years ago.

They cannot stand for us to be ahead of them.  No expense is being spared, no avenue unexplored, no leverage left un-levered in an effort to bring us to our knees.  We don't think that way, but they do.  Success isn't enough, it's only satisfactory when they succeed AND we suffer.

The Tuscaloosa News is the center of this effort.  Through its connections with the New York times, it feeds national reporters rumor and innuendo while shielding Bama.  Follow the trail.  They've used Andrew Bone for YEARS to sway recruits and slip false information about Auburn to them.  They use their connections at Rivals to influence recruiting.  They won't stop until we are broken.

Fighting back is the only answer.

Those fuckers love claiming NCs, but despise competition.  Auburn competing with them in crootin, winning an NC, and not having TN to be oissed at has us squarely in their sights.  Id love to see Shanes phone bill..Id wager he has called the NCAA weekly since the Cam story broke in an attempt to feed them "info" he read on the net.
