The way the game went
« on: January 11, 2011, 10:18:42 AM »
I was very happy to see Kodi Burns score that touchdown.  He deserved it.  I was also glad to see that it came down to Wes Byrum kicking yet another game winner for us.  What a way for those guys to close out their careers.

Also, I hope Under Armour was paying attention to how our guys looked like they were running on fucking ice.  I didn't notice very many of the ducks slippin and sliding all over the place.  I thought they would've changed spikes at the half, but I guess I was wrong.

Nah. The slipping went both ways. The AU trainer said it was due to moisture on the field not the cleats. I'm thinking moisture is like rain, wet, so longer cleats would be better, no?

I thought we should have crushed them. Cam did not have a bad game, but he did not have and end of the season game. is running was a little tentative and that is what got him hurt. When he plays all out, he does the hurting. That caused his passes to be off a little. 4th quarter really pissed me off. I wanted to go down on the field and strangle Tubs. Cam was hurt, so just give the damn ball to the little ball of fury. Tell the line that Cam is hurt and they need to blow holes for Dyer. I think at that time we could have lined up and crushed their D. Our line on both sides of the ball were exactly as advertised.

I think everyone watching saw how we sorta backed of 4th quarter and still dominated the game. But with an explosive offense like they had, whew. LJ is FAST. And his backup is pretty dang good too. Without the help from Torched, I'm not sure they would have even been close.

If you had told me we win scoring 22, I would have called you crazy.

14-0 national champions. I don;t think there is a school out there that is saying "We could have beat AU".

WAR DAMN EAGLE.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

No doubt. Kodi is a class act and Wes has ice in his veins.

The score doesn't tell the whole story either. I thought Auburn dominated a lot more than what the score shows. We left some points on the field but so did they.

Has anyone heard what the injury to Cam was and how significant? I heard him say something about his back but nothing more.

I haven't heard or seen anything about it.

The commentators were talking about and both Cam and Chiz mentioned it at the post game pressers. I have also heard it was his ribs. Anyways, he was getting treatment at the stadium.
