It's well written though it tells you little about the plays because there aren't many.

Oregon runs misdirection from the zone read which is different than the traditional zone read as the QB actually reads the "backside" DE,  backside because the blocking forms in the opposite direction.

Viewing it might seem as if you were watching the ball handling in the backfield from a mirror image. Oregon grinds steadily from  this particular concept banking on a mismatch, over-pursuit and eventual fatigue.

The passing game is a small collection of screens, delays and crossing routes. Everything emloyed is intended toward the purpose of springing  the speedy and shifty Thomas and James.

Like so many great offenses now...they look complicated, but really are not.  And the Xs and Os they employ are simply tried and true concepts that have been around for as long as the current base rules in football have been around.   There's little under the sun new on the football field.  "Innovation" comes from making it look new.
