Eighty percent of the time when a rematch occurs in the SECCG, the winner of the first game wins the championship. That is a statistic.

Auburn has more than stats on our side. We have the intangibles that all great teams must posses to win a championship.

Vegas has us as a 5 point favorite. We don't always cover the spread, but we do win. It's not all we do. We overcome adversity and never quit no matter how far down we get.

We finally get to enjoy a meaningful game from start to finish.

So, the Vegas odds are back up? Word on "da skreets" were they got taken off board because of the uncertainty of Garcia injury.

Neither team is the same team that met some 8 or so weeks ago. Auburn has hit it's stride, and gained much confidence through overcoming adversity. USCe has found their offense, but they're still never sure which team will show up.

Coaching edge? Well, both have been in the post season, with championship implications, and both have won...Spurrier edge for having been there as a Header.

USCe, as a program, for whatever this is worth, has never played for anything meaningful.

But, talent wins the day, and Auburn has more.

In our first game vs teh Cocks we unveiled our option run game, and they were not ready and gave up 300 plus rushing yards. However, USCe is the #5 run D in the nation, and #1 in the SEC, but I believe some of that is due to schedule...who they played, and the outcomes. But they're still pretty good.

Auburn will pass it's way to a win vs the 99th ranked pass D in the nation, and Cam will secure the Heisman .

USCe will also score some points, but Garcia will make some mistakes.

Didn't USC drop from being the number one defense in the SEC to the eighth after our first meeting?

I would expect a similar outcome after this one. Maybe not as far because there is a larger body of work to average from but I have seen nothing to this point that would make me believe that they will stop us.

What scares me is that Spurrier is smart enough not to go conservative. I'm not worried about us scoring, I'm worried about us keeping up, which is a stupid thing to think about with our offense. Almost like, whoever has the ball last.

As I've stated...USCe now has our whole body of work to look at offensively. We surprised them with our option run game in the first one...we won't surprise them this time. Still, we have more talent, and we have an OC that can adjust to whatever they have in store for us, in fact he welcomes their adjustments as that's his whole approach to play calling. Bama showed you can take away what most perceive to be the most dangerous part of our offense...Cam running the ball. In doing so, they over-committed, and over-pursued. We burned them with play action passes to the flat off the speed sweep look (hat tip to War Eagle for pointing that out), and with Counter runs. The TD pass to Lutz was set up by the PA passing to the flats. We just have too many ways to answer on offense.

I think the real reason you are nervous for this game is that you know what a win represents. I think we all deep down waited for the other shoe to drop. However, Cam kept catching that mother fuckin shoe and preceded to shove it up the other teams ass.
