- Miss State sent an incomplete and incomprehensive report about the recruitment of Cam Newton to the SEC office.

- The SEC office requested more information in a timely manner, and Miss State did not provide more information in a timely manner.

- Auburn was therefore cleared by the eligibility committee to play Cam Newton despite there being some accusations out there.  However, Auburn was left to make the final decision since the allegations had been sent to the SEC.

- Dan Mullen and/or his assistant coaches grew frustrated over Auburn's success and the fact that the SEC had not acted against Cam Newton's eligibility.  Miss State then contacted institutions outside of the SEC office (NCAA, ESPN, CBS, etc - not sure who exactly) and spread information about Cam Newton's recruitment. 

- The three stooges (Bell, Bond, Rogers) then got involved in the fray.  They attempted to get out of it then realized they should speak what they really believe happened. 

- No implications against Auburn have been reported by anybody.

- The only person this case rests on is Cecil Newton. 

- Mike Slive wants to replace Miss State with New Mexico St.
