Bump for discussion sake. I watched all evening as the results came in. Can't say that I am surprised that it all turned out the way it did. I was surprised by some of the margin of victories in some races, but not surprised at the outcomes.
Agree with Brit Hume. A solid night for Republicans, not as great as they wanted it to be, but it was a good night for them.
Same thing for some of the local races. Not many surprises other than margin of victory. I was surprised that a small town up the road was close at it was on the wet/dry vote. Stayed dry by one vote. I will imagine that the next time it comes up it will pass. There were a lot of older folks (60+) that got out to vote no for this one. I would imagine that several of them won't be voting next time and more of the younger people will get out and vote.
Despite the losses in Delaware, Nevada, and California it was a phenomenal night for Republicans and the Tea Party Movement!
I would even say it was a monumental GOP win because of the Gubernatorial, State House, and State Senate races across the nation! Y'all might not realize what important wins they really are because of redistricting which will occur next year after the census this year. This is truly the most grim news for the
Democrats socialists.
I was up almost all night watching results come in and waiting for that delicious moment when King Roy Barnes had to make his concession speech in the Georgia Gubernatorial race. Good riddance to his bad rubbish.

The despicable Alan Grayson of Florida
The even more despicable Charlie Crist of Florida
And to put some salt in the Dem (and Libertarian?) wounds:
A Republican won The ONE's former Senate seat in Illinois (the grandest rebuke of them all)
At least two African American Republicans won, Lt. Col. Allen West of Florida being one (that ought to shake up the Congressional Black Caucus)
California Rejected the Pot Legalization Ballot Initiative (seriously?!)
Rand Paul won the contested Senate seat in Kentucky
John Kasich, former FoxNews Contributor, part-time stand-in for Rush, part-time stand-in for Bill O'Reilly won the Gubernatorial race in Ohio
Rory Reid (Harry Reid's son) LOST in Nevada
Sen. Russ Feingold LOST in Wisconsin
At least Two Dem House Chairmen that I am aware of LOST their re-election bids
The loathsome Arlin Spectre's former Senate seat was won by a Republican (Pat Toomey)
and there are so many more...
And I was personally gratified to see the North Carolina General Assembly went to a Republican majority for the first time since 1870!
And, did I say, good riddance to Roy Barnes! Nathan Deal is Georgia's new Governor-elect; as a matter of fact the entire statewide elections went to the Republican column in Georgia.
I'm not entirely disappointed that the Dems still retain a very, very slim majority control of the Senate...this means that their feet can still be held to the political fire in two years.
