Wayne was in charge of the football camp this summer. I got a few emails from him. Wasn't he at AU around 85 - 88 as some sort of asst.?

I suspect the components of the no huddle, the veteran OL and more speed on the field than I can ever recall is taxing the other group that is relatively inexperienced beyond the starters. It's hard to get good angles in a chase. This bunch can hit and maybe it will take the entire season to mature but I really think if Roof cuts these ugly numbers, we can look to Rocker first because the DL has been the source of the poor angles for several years. I'm more concerned about the defensive front than about Dyer or Newton. Malzahn can overcome most deficiencies if we have any whereas Roof can't, and he inherited thin ranks and ... I'm done with that.

When he was at Troy he coached O-line first and that was the best our O-line had been or was for quite a while. Then LB moved him to DC and LB coach. Our D was legit. Back then he weighed like 500 lbs or something like that he was FREAKIN' HUGE. But damn could he coach. I heard he had gastric bypass sugery and lost a ton of weight. I hate he is not coaching anymore. But thanks again for the info. I am glad he has a job.

Yeah...he was a great OL coach. He would wobble into the huddle screaming and cussing, with a big wad of chew in his mouth. He would try to spit but couldn't spit over his belly. Half the time he had shit running down his mouth and by the time practice was over, the whole front of his shirt was brown from his chew...
