  • Why don't you blow me ump!
I tell you an undefeated season is the only response to such a ploy my dear Watson. Auburn fans everywhere are experiencing a false sense of security in the team's fortunes based on the prediction of this No Huddle fellow. We must warn them that they not get their hopes up too high in the event the team should stumble upon hard times.

The enemy claims houndstooth and as a fashion expert I deplore their confusion with mere plaid. I shall never rest until those responsible are shown the error of their way.

It's a British thing!

Dude, you're sick in the head...in a good way.

Why of course I am...Richt's winning percentage and bowl record save him. They could go after a guy like Petersen at seasons end or risk getting a Jim Donnan who wasn't all that bad although I thought AU could beat him and was disappointed to see him go only for that reason. And rivalry games are huge but few could see merit in giving him the ax based on losing to Florida. He has had Auburn, Tech, So Car. and Clemson in check.

I like it. But really I think allbarn should win 10 games. Alabama and LSU are the only two that I see that will give you trouble. I am wrong many times a day, just ask my wife, but I feel pretty good about this one.

"So I want everybody to think here for a second, how much does this game mean to you? 'Cause if it means something to you, you can't stand still. You understand? You play fast! You play strong! You go out there and dominate the man you're playing against, and you make his ass quit! That's our trademark! That's our M.O.... as a team! That's what people know us as!" ~ Nick Saban

No need to ask the spouse. It's a given, I know. The trick is to make useful light of your wrongness in a sort of Raymond way.

But AU can win 10 or even more possibly if the defense gets inside help allowing for some creative pressure.  Tackling is a recommended too, the gang-type where you wrap the opponent high and strip beneath. I have faith that the offensive output will be as good or better; I think most of us do, even with two very big unknowns and having Gus gives us that confidence as he has always delivered wherever. Not as concerned with penalties as I am with special teams. I think a freshman ends up returning punts but the problems weren't just in the deep guy.

Tubs' record on paper and his accomplishments also didnt appear to warrant replacing him, but as you know JR, its the last 1-2 years people go by - and UGA has been average lately. Especially with the talent they have. The off field distractions dont help.

There's a big difference in Richt's "average" at 18-8 (10-6 SEC) the last 2 years vs. Tub's total implosion his last 2 seasons, which was also accompanied by a slew of player/recruit attrition which didn't bode well for the future.  And like I said, if this season turns out for Richt to be similar to Tub's final campaign, then he could get canned.  Another 8 win season won't get him fired, off field distractions or not, and I'm betting he doesn't have a complete meltdown season.  On their schedule they have SC, Ark, Florida, Auburn, and Ga Tech that are realpotential losses.  We can speculate on how good Ark and SC will be, but it's speculation, and they get Ark at home.  Auburn?  Same same, but they come to our house, which in this series, isn't a handicap for the road team.  Honestly, I don't know about Ga Tech.  If they can simply win 2 of those 5, they have what appears to be 7 pretty winnable remaining games.  Richt doesn't get canned for a 8-9 win season which is very, very doable this year, and could conceivably stumble to a 10 win season.  Worst case is 7 wins, and he still doesn't get canned for that.
