exactly.  Worst thing that could happen is to go on some conference winning streak.  It's like most Cowboy fans....kinda sucks that they won that playoff game....another year of coach yuk, yuk in Big D.

It's time for the annual "Does Lebo need another year?" debate from 50% of Auburn fans. 

Proposition- Jeff Lebo should be retained for one more year.

Premise 1 - He was up by 20 against Tennessee.
Premise 2 - He almost beat Kentucky. 
Premise 3 - He just needs one more year to get his recruits in.
Premise 4 - He doesn't have the fan support.  He will next year with the new arena.
Premise 5 - His facilities suck, and the arena is awesome for football recruiting basketball practice.
Premise 6 - Jay Jacobs probably couldn't hire anyone better anyway. 

Any questions?  I think not!

You are correct, but I am not in that 50%...just happy to see a victory, no matter the opponent.  Lebo should have been gone before last season, but the late push to the NIT saved his job for at least this year.
There is some talent on this team, but none of them are schooled in the fundamentals.  That is ALL coaching, or lack thereof.

I agree. Knowing when the right time to become an angry lynch mob is a tricky thing.

Last year was poised to be that time, but then he had a great run at the end of the season. Can't fire a man after a run like that, no matter how bad he fucked the pooch before. Doesn't buy him a contract renewal or anything. Just buys him another year to see if he's gotten on the right track finally.

Coming out this year and sucking as frequently as he has, shows beyond doubt that that run was an anomaly. Now knowing this for certain, it is time for him to be shown the door.

Don't get me wrong. I like him personally Nice guy, "good" coach, brilliant defensive mind......but not gonna get ya to the Superbowl. I'm sure most teams would love 12 wins, but close is getting old.
