I know many beer snobs will immediately interject that they never were, but many people do.

Just bought a case of Bud Light last night to go with my 1792 for the Super Bowl, good luck with your boycott!

You only have yourself to blame that our local government doesn't think we're grown up enough to enjoy beverages containing over 6% alcohol.
Of course 95% Everclear is ok. Alcohol laws, especially in this state, piss me off.
Growing up in Prattville/Montgomery, draft beer was outlawed until the Biscuits said they wouldn't start their franchise there if they couldn't sell draft beer, so they pretty much had no choice. Kegs still are. 40 oz. bottles are illegal to sell in the entire state, but 24 packs of 12 oz bottles are ok. As long as their wasting more aluminum or glass, I guess it's ok. There's no logic involved, and it pisses me off. By God, I want the option to enjoy a Bell's Kalamazoo Stout if I damn well please.

I would love for it to pass as well, but I'm not giving up my Bud Light! I'll boycott Miller Lite!

One of the greatest things I enjoyed (and still enjoy) when I made the move from Alabama to Georgia 6 years ago was the fact that I could buy 40's.  I can get a Miller High Life 40 for $1.39.  That's 3 1/3 beers for $1.39, in case math is not your strong suit.  Compare that to your average cheap beer 6 pack.  I can get a six pack's worth of beer plus 2/3 extra for under $3.00.  Or, I can pay more for less when I buy a six pack.

So, by moving to Georgia, I'm able to drink really cheep piss beer AND look homeless when I do it in public?  That's worth a move, IMO.

Interesting that Sweetwater had to pull their beer when the recipe change exceeded the alcohol content limit; this kind of restrictionist government control is absurd especially when the comparison is made to alcohol content of other adult beverages.  When the law was changed here in Georgia it really opened up the market for all kinds of specialty beers...which I enjoy from time to time when I'm not enjoying my usual Bass, Guinness, or Harp.

Good luck with your boycott...I don't drink that beery flavored water anyway...reminds me of sex in a canoe...fucking near water.
