Battle For The "Crown" Poll
« on: December 01, 2008, 11:39:00 AM »
With the end of the regular season upon us, we are losing participants to the weekly pick-em game.  Therefore I will put the following question to the board.  Should we "Crown" a champion for the regular season and start a new game for the bowls or should we keep it all one game?

We can either do a monetary challenge or I can come up with a new prize if you want to do a seperate contest for bowl season.

Well, I think you know where I'd stand.  New one for the bowls!!!

I say keep it going! There were 5 times as many points that were to be had this week and there will even be more for the bowls. Anyone has a shot to win...well, almost anyone...sorry chopper...

The beauty of this thing is the cumulative score.  Keep this one going and open up a separate bowl betting series for others on this board who may want to participate in the end of the season fun (and who haven't been participating in the year long tourney)...and do it for money, if you're so inclined.

We just can't let nookie win two TigersX events in the same year...we'll just never hear the end of it.  :poke:

Totally agree!!! Of course you are going to have a larger number of people want a new tourny because some are out of it. I say keep this one, since it was going to always run through the bowls, and open a new one. Ii would join the new one with the money too!

thrilla, you my sir, are in prime position to take two events yourself.

Let's see...I took 2nd place and won some money from you fools during the Bowl Pick 'em game last fall...

Can't remember how I did for March Madness in our competition here...I got the TigersX pool confused with others, but I know I won something, maybe it was from here, maybe from somewhere else...I think it was from here...

Looking to try to take you in the current football pick 'em, but there's lots left so no reason to start shit, plus you have quite the knack for selecting winning teams...

And trying to win fantasy football, but my team is 2nd or 3rd best IMO and it would take a combination of luck and my opponents best players failing in order for me to make it through the playoffs.

I love the games teh interwebs provide.  But it's a hell of lot better when you win with money and liquor involved!
