After watching the Pat Dye documentary, it felt appropriate to post this. Marketing seems to be making a subtle push to shed light of the parallels between Dye and Hugh. Common theme & philosophy being derived from sincere love. Coaching from a stance of family and love is what Auburn is and should always be about. This is why Coach Spud didn’t work and why his pop culture family didn’t fit. Malzahn practiced it, but was too autistic to express it publicly for the fans to rally around it.  Plus, he recruited without direction. Chizik did both, but was too quirky and made bad hires, rendering it unsustainable. Tuberville had his own style and had a consistent model for success, until it fizzled out at the end as the game passed him by. Tot came in hot, but got stale.

Maybe we finally have the right fit for now.
