Quote
"As a program, we had tremendous momentum coming into the 2019 season with the opening of the new south end zone facility as well as other strategic investments in our football program," Missouri athletic director Jim Sterk said in a statement. "However, we lost a great deal of that energy during the last half of the season. This decision was difficult to make but was necessary."

Odom went 25-25 and 13-19 in SEC play during four seasons at his alma mater, where he served as defensive coordinator before being promoted to succeed Gary Pinkel after the 2015 season. Missouri started 5-1 this fall before dropping five consecutive games. The Tigers beat Arkansas on Friday.

The NCAA on Tuesday upheld a postseason ban and other sanctions against Missouri, where a former tutor for the football team and other teams at the school admitted to completing coursework for student-athletes. Sterk strongly criticized the NCAA for upholding the ban, which he called "a really hurtful decision that's a blow because it impacts so many student-athletes."

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

A new south end zone does not equal "momentum"

Three SEC jobs are currently open.  Arkansas, Missouri and Ole Miss.  Could easily see Mississippi State and South Carolina open up.

If you're a coach looking for your next challenge, why would you take any of these jobs?  It's next to impossible to win in Mississippi.  You have to cheat to do it.  Dan Mullen cheated.  State won some games but never made it to Atlanta (or came close).  Hugh Freeze cheated. Won some games, beat Bama twice (whippee shit) but never made it to Atlanta.  Missouri did make it to Atlanta and didn't cheat that we know of, but they did so when the SEC East was basically the ACC.  Terrible teams on that side of the ledger during Mizzou's run.  Arkansas. Petrino cheated on his wife.  Don't know what he did to get Arkansas to win, but still never made it out of the West.  South Carolina, even with Spurrier, couldn't win the SEC.

If you're a coach looking to boost his resume why would you bury yourself at any of those places where wins are hard to come by and you're more likely to shred your reputation than you are to build it?

Missouri did indeed do some cheating. Had a tutor taking tests and basically classes for players. Then, the campus SJWs rose up and that's why they are the nuked site from orbit they are now and probably will continue to be.

C.R.E.A.M.

Chad Morris's dumb ass is walking with $10+MM.  And he never won a conference game... Or even a P5 game.

Come get your retirement money in the SEC and then head to a small, no-pressure job to live out your days.

On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.
