842-lb man dies of heart attack.

Bed, Bath and Beyond announced on Thursday that it would stop selling assault forks in all of its stores, a direct reaction to the massive overating that led to the death of Robert Buchel of New Jersey. Buchel, who was featured on the series My 600-lb Life, died of a massive heart attack despite undergoing weight-loss surgery.

“When we saw what happened to Robert, we were so disturbed and upset,” BBB CEO Linen Tubbs said.
The move leaves just one major retailer standing alone in continuing to sell the  assault-style utensils commonly used in overeating incidents: Bass Pro Shops, which now includes Cabela’s. Both stores also sell high-capacity spoons, which allow eaters to double-fist a higher number of carb bombs without needing to reload.

Many large companies have changed their policies around eating utensils lately, as protesters push for tougher regulations. Some have severed ties with Epicurean Associations, ending discount programs for members. Bed Bath and Beyond announced that all of its stores would immediately stop selling assault-style forks and high-capacity spoons, and that it would no longer sell any utensils whatsoever to customers who weighed more than 250 pounds.

While stating that “we support and respect the Constitution” Bed Bath and Beyond also urged Congress to take action and called for a national ban on assault-style forks, a ban on high-capacity spoons, and a maximum weight of 250 for all eating utensil sales.

“Thoughts and prayers aren’t enough,” a BBB press release said.

Why do you do this?

You know this story will piss Snags off and he’ll want to protest bed and bath.

Don’t toy with him. He can’t help it.
