Yes you read that right, Biden criticizes one of Obama's own ads.  I see Biden stepping down in the very near future.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Barack Obama's running mate says a campaign ad that mocked Republican presidential candidate John McCain as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate was "terrible" and would not have been done had he known about it.

Obama, McCain's Democratic rival, launched the ad earlier this month, part of an aggressive push to slow McCain's rise in the polls after he chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate. It included unflattering footage of Sen. McCain at a hearing in the early '80s, wearing giant glasses and an out-of-style suit, interspersed with shots of a disco ball, a clunky phone, an outdated computer and a Rubik's Cube.

"He admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an e-mail, still doesn't understand the economy, and favors $200 billion in new tax cuts for corporations, but almost nothing for the middle class," the ad says.

Asked about the negative tone of the campaign, and this ad in particular, during an interview broadcast Monday by the "CBS Evening News," Obama's running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, said he disapproved of it.

"I thought that was terrible, by the way," Biden said.

Asked why it was done, he said: "I didn't know we did it and if I had anything to do with it, we'd have never done it."

Late Monday, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton issued a statement from Biden. In it, Biden said he "was asked about an ad I'd never seen" and was "reacting merely to press reports."

Biden said that, as he said in the interview, there was nothing "intentionally personal" in the criticism of McCain's views.

"Having now reviewed the ad, it is even more clear to me that given the disgraceful tenor of Sen. McCain's ads and their persistent falsehoods, his campaign is in no position to criticize, especially when they continue to distort Barack's votes on an issue as personal as keeping kids safe from sexual predators," Biden said.

Biden was referring to a McCain ad that said Obama supported sex education for kindergartners, based on a bill he voted for as an Illinois state senator. Obama's campaign said the ad was a "shameful" distortion of his record because the bill's language meant young children would have been taught about sexual predators and concepts such as "good touch and bad touch."

They also are not seeing eye to eye on the "bail-out".  Obama says Biden should wait to talk to him before making policy statements.

This is getting humorous!!

Obama may scale back promises
By MIKE ALLEN | 9/23/08 9:23 AM EDT   Text Size:

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) said in an interview aired Tuesday that the cost of the mortgage bailout plan may rein in his ambitious plans for health care, energy, education and infrastructure.

Obama's comments reflect the possible new constraints on the next president's ability to expand or start programs or cut taxes. The government financial interventions of the past two weeks could cost more than $1 trillion.

Obama told NBC’s Matt Lauer on the “Today” show that he doesn’t expect the mortgage plan to cost the full $700 billion right away, and all the money won’t be lost.

“Does that mean that I can do everything that I've called for in this campaign right away?” Obama said. “Probably not. I think we're going to have to phase it in. And a lot of it's going to depend on what our tax revenues look like.”

Obama was interviewed by Lauer on Monday in Green Bay, Wis.

The Democrat attacked Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for initially opposing the federal government’s intervention to save insurance giant AIG.

“I think what has been clear during this entire past 10 days is John McCain has not had clarity and a grasp on the situation,” Obama.

But Lauer pointed out that Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), had initially said the same thing – on “Today,” no less.

“I think that in that situation, I think Joe should have waited, as well,” Obama said.

It’s very rare for one ticket mate to publicly second-guess the other. But on the “CBS Evening News” on Monday, Biden had chastised his own campaign for a TV ad portraying McCain as a computer illiterate. Biden backed off his criticism of the ad in a statement the campaign released three hours later. [/size

On Sunday, in an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood, Obama had suggested he would not have to make changes in his spending plans.

“My health care plan is paid for,” Obama said. “And I continue to believe that rolling back the Bush tax cuts on the wealthiest Americans makes sense. They are still going to be wealthy after those are rolled back. I still believe that it is important for us to make college more affordable. And I think it's important that all those things are paid for in light of this huge additional potential expense.”

Also interviewed Sunday by Harwood, McCain said he believes he can still balance the budget in his first term. “I believe we can still balance the budget,” he said, citing “restraint of spending … and the recovery of our economy.”

Well, I thought that I was late posting on this particular subject a week ago (see below) but it seems that the lame-stream media has finally caught up with this despicable ad released by The Obama's campaign.  I find it politically amusing that the media ignored the blatantly, misleading premise of this political ad until Biden himself (to his credit in my opinion) said that it was "terrible".  It seems to me that his first reaction to the ad in question was sincere.  It was not until later that he changed his story then went on a rather weak tangent saying that McCain's ad regarding The Obama's support of a Sex-Ed bill in Illinois was a "shameful distortion"...and no apology from him or The Obama by the way for the "terrible" ad that they ran against McCain.  This is what I find terrible.

When time permits I'd ask you to read what happened to McCain (see below or look it up yourself).  I've been a real critic of him but, quite frankly, at this juncture he's more than earned my vote.

I'm a little late posting on this subject so many of you may already be aware of it from recent reports or from prior knowledge.  And, as many of you know, I am not a big supporter of McCain but I honor his service and sacrifices to this country and I'll be voting for he and Gov. Palin in a few weeks although he was not my first choice and I disagree with his ideas on his plans on at least a couple of issues (immigration and enviroment).

Having writ that rambling preamble and qualification, The Obama's campaign released last week what I take to be a despicable political ad concerning John McCain's inability to use teh ebays, the Intarwebs, and email.  They implied he was too old and ignorant.

The real reason is that he can't without pain and difficulty as a result of this (from Wikipedia):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain

...

Excerpt from Wikipedia:

Quote
He was flying his 23rd bombing mission over North Vietnam, when his A-4E Skyhawk was shot down by a missile over Hanoi.  McCain fractured both arms and a leg, and then nearly drowned, when he parachuted into Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi.  After he regained consciousness, some North Vietnamese pulled him ashore, then others crushed his shoulder with a rifle butt and bayoneted him.
...
his captors refused to treat his injuries, instead beating and interrogating him to get information, and he was given medical care only when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a top admiral.
...
McCain spent six weeks in the hospital while receiving marginal care.  Now having lost 50 pounds (23 kg), in a chest cast, and with his hair turned white, McCain was sent to a different camp on the outskirts of Hanoi in December 1967, into a cell with two other Americans who did not expect him to live a week.  In March 1968, McCain was put into solitary confinement, where he would remain for two years.
...
In August 1968, a program of severe torture began on McCain.  He was subjected to rope bindings and repeated beatings every two hours, at the same time as he was suffering from dysentery.  Further injuries led to the beginning of a suicide attempt, which was stopped by guards.
...
His injuries left him permanently incapable of raising his arms above his head.  He subsequently received two to three beatings per week
