I blame myself and Coach Malzahn for last week's debacle because of the absence of the Pre-Dick-Shuns thread. Well, way more Malzahn than me. But, I'll step up and be a team player and shoulder some of the blame. I started not to post one this week either because the slate of games stink like rotting road kill.
What's the marquis game between top 25 teams this week? Try 7-2 Go Gaytah and 6-4 Co Yaw Yaw & the Boys. Maybe OU at West Virginia. But then, no one cares. Especially not OU's defensive tackle. The one and only bit of significance attached to this game is that a Florida win seals the East crown. BIG....FRICKIN'...DEAL!!! The story line is no longer whether Yaw is coaching to keep the Head Corchin' position. He failed miserably in the in the one game that program has to have to....yes you heard it....get back to relevance. Both these clubs are barely above average SEC teams at best and I'll only give the nod to the Corndogs because they're playing at home (Again, big frickin' deal) and facing Purdue's former back up QB. Let's all chant about "Death Valley":

Louisville and Houston looked like one everyone had circled on the calendar after a couple of weeks of the season. Louisville kept its end of the bargain. Houston...ehh...not so much. Petrino's troops have had a bad tendency to play down to the competition level in several games. Will probably happen for a while in this one too. But the Cards have too much on the line to wallow around for too long. A Heisman frontrunner who needs to drive a stake in the hearts of the competition during the featured game, and a team that's sitting outside, kicking the Top 4 door in. Too much Cards:

What can you say about this week's game against Alabama A&M? The only questions are who will start under center and will they play well enough to give us some hope of being competitive next weekend in West Vance? Oh, and how good will the A&M band entrance be? I'm going to make the trip up and enjoy a day on the Planes. But I have to be honest. If Clifford Franklin VVVVVXI starts, I'm going to need extra burrbinz for my Delicious Coke Product. My hope is that Jeremy Johnson will get the nod and come out with a nothing to lose attitude and rip the Bulldogs a new one. "Read option my ass. Err'body go long."
The other elephant in the room is we're down to Carry-On Johnson playing at 60% and 137 pound Kam "Hands of Stone" Martin. What were some of those other guy's names? Anyway, here's to win #8.
