From Auburn Undercover.  My copy/pasta skillz sucked.  Not a bad ranking IMO.  You've got to remember it's an all-time ranking and a lot of these teams back before scholarship limitations, used to be the same interchangeable top 10 teams, like Nebraska, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State etc.


Where does Auburn rank all time among the college football elite?

The folks at College Football News took a stab at that question by developing a formula utilizing the Associated Press' rankings over the years.

Auburn comes in at No. 12, which is good enough for the fourth-best ranking among teams in the SEC.
