I've got figured out. CGM seems to be a QB killer. But he knows how to use an already developed QB.
So we quit recruiting QBs and just pick up a new guy from JUCO every year!

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Yup, CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Every year, just as long as said QB doesn't stay "in the system" for the second year.

The biggest problem I have with this whole thing is the lack of warning.

How could Malzahn not understand that the tank was empty? How could he think Jeremy Johnson was as good as he played him up to be?  How could he take the pre-season expectations and not try to temper them?

Or did we just refuse to listen?

I still have faith in this staff but I wouldn't mind seeing Gus bring in a new OC who could help in the passing game. Maybe let the new guy work with WRs and move Craig to coaching QBs. Rhett brings absolutely nothing to the table.

What gives you faith? Look at the years that gus has been successful, 2010, Can and senior laden team, 2013 nick marshall and trey manson,  any other year unable to coach up. Without a horse to ride he is an 8-5 coach.

Jay Jacobs does know there is a bottom to the barrel right? We keep dropping these $$$ for such a small return on our investment. IMHO, buying out this coach(es) is not the solution, at least not right now.

I enjoy watching Prosch and Newton in the same game. Our program produces, it's just not producing to it's full potential.

I'm tired of Gus's bullshit the product he put on the field was horseshit. That motherfucker makes over 4 Million dollars a year. Shit I can coach a team to lay down and give up for a lot less.

Mainly because if you put '10 and '13 aside, his offense still averages 31 ppg while HC/OC at Auburn. That's with the likes of Todd, Trotter, Moseley, and Johnson playing QB. Give the guy a playmaker at QB and he has shown the ability to lead Auburn to the SEC title and NC game multiple times in his brief tenure. Mainly with his offense alone. The main thing that scares me about Gus is he has yet to show he can develop a QB. That's the reason I think its time to cut ties with Rhett. Its not like he is calling plays as OC and if he can't develop a QB, why the hell are we paying him?  Don't get me wrong. We are fucked this season more than likely. The reason I say more than likely is because I think alot of this years problems due to the prima donna attitude our players seem to have. Its going to be interesting to see if Gus can keep these guys from quitting like they did on Gene in 2012.

Given the track record of Gus and Will, unless we have a repeat of 2012, I'm giving them at least 2 more years. Shitty as we looked yesterday, I still think they will win at least 1 NC Championship while here.  :bamahomer:

I finally threw up my hands and said it's time for the change.  But as for Johnson, he is still Gus' guy.  He's going to ride him at least another game.  Not putting White in at any point says that Gus wanted JJ to build off what little positives there were in the second half.  He's not yanking JJ.  Not yet.  But then, looking at my BFTC picks this week tells how skippy I am at predicting.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I didn't see the "quit" everyone's been referring to.  Granted, Rudi's dumb ass totally whiffed on purpose when he had a shot at Fournette and I'm glad Danielson called him out on it.  I still thought they played hard and were hitting right up to the end.  I just can't figure out what's wrong with this whole picture. But quit?  Didn't see that.  Quit is 2012.  Quit is the opposing team's players calling you out publically.  2012 was the only time in all the years of going to AU football games, that I walked out of the stadium in complete disgust and pissed that I spent time and money to come support guys who had mailed it in.  Don't see that in this team so far and hope we don't.

Good to see Kerryon getting some reps and making the most out of it.  He looked pretty damn good.  Barber ran hard again.  Just no break away speed.
