Personal position on the topic aside, I never dreamed Auburn would not only have a department of women's studies, but also a men and masculinities class...??  WTF??  This makes me have the sadz.

Quote

Crosses Are Misogynistic Now, According To Women's Studies Students At Auburn.

According to this, a pro-life group of students at Auburn University, Students For Life (SFL) created a "Cemetery of the Innocents" earlier this week - placing 150 white crosses on the university's lawn, with each cross representing 20 aborted babies.  The SFL group creates this Cemetery of the Innocents display every single semester, but this semester, a group of students in Professor Andrea Baldwin's men and masculinities class (part of the women's studies department, because of course), have decided to get all pissy about it, because that's what women's studies students do.

These pro-abortion students held a counter-protest in response to the Cemetery of the Innocents display called "Lives Lost to Misogyny" because they claim, and I'm not even making this up, that the display of crosses is "misogynistic" and that it "shamed women's reproductive choices."

What a load of absolute crap.

First of all, these whiners need to own what they're supporting, and stop calling abortion "women's reproductive choices." Abortion is abortion.  And it's shameful. Secondly, how in the world are crosses misogynistic?  Are these harpies out of their minds?

One student, Imani Tucker, said, "I think these crosses are misogynistic because they’re shaming women for having abortions. We felt that since this happens every year, there’s a lot of misinformation and shame associated with a display like this and we wanted to counter that.”

So there you have it, y'all.  Crosses are misogynistic now.  Apparently, pro-abortion folks will not rest until they are congratulated and celebrated for wanting to kill babies.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Do you guys remember when the AGLA adopted the stretch of highway in front of the KA house, and the KA's would make their pledges dump garbage on the road, so they could heckle the AGLA when they came out to clean it up?  Good times.

This stuff is at every college. And always has been in some shape or form.

This isn't what I would consider the norm at Auburn though.

I remember the giant confederate flag. I almost wrecked every time I passed it trying to salute and drive at the same time.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

You think that would be fun. Should have seen what I started on the book faces this morning. Some one posted that they wish an alarm clock would be invented that handed you a cup of coffee. Most people commented how wonderful it would be(mostly female repliers). I replied that I had two of them but they both broke. I divorced both their sorry asses. Oh the vitriol I got about how sexist I am. I agreed.  Told them if they got so much energy to cuss me to get to my house cook me breakfast and iron my shirts. If they did a good job I would let them blow me. Wish I would have screen shot it. Well I did but I digress. Poster finally deleted thread. Made my day.
