I'm thinking maybe I need to push Mini Snags into getting serious about golf. Came across an article actually listing the figures from 2012 and it had a breakdown of what players were making on the course but more importantly, what they made off the course in endorsements etc. What blew me away was that it's some of the old dudes making bank while playing little, if any. A few names:
Greg Norman made $78K on the course in 2012. He raked in $17 million with endorsement deals. He's got a huge line of golf apparel and shit so I can't imagine what this cat is pulling in.
Ernie Els made a little over $4 million on the course but topped that off nicely with $14 mil in endorsement deals.
Dill Pickelson pocketed a cool $40 million with endorsements alone. But Jack and Arnie didn't have to swing a club to rake in $28 mil and $36 mil respectively.
Of course, Tiger Woods was winning tournaments, marrying models, getting his fill of kinky sex on the side and...writing out deposit slips for over $86 million dollah.
Now, where are those Taylor Mades?
