Texas to execute serial killer
« on: April 02, 2014, 11:42:52 PM »
I know we have an express lane on our gurney in Texas, but the guy set to die tomorrow is an honest to goodness serial killer. Killed people coast to coast and fortunately for the rest of us, got caught in Texas.  I had never heard of him, so I googled him. Holy crap. He can't die soon enough for me.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Man, I'm sorry I read that.  Anyone see Law Abiding Citizen?  First thing I thought of when I read the article was the way this guy needs to die is the how Gerard Butler cut that guy up, piece by piece.

The scariest part of that whole thing to me is that this guy was able to stay ahead of the police by actually living off the grid and never stop moving.  Cash only, town to town, hitching rides, riding trains, stealing cars, never staying put.  No way for the police to make any kind of connection between crimes in different locations.  Had that little girl not survived the throat slashing, he'd still be out there and no one would be the wiser.  It was sheer luck that they caught him.

Makes you wonder how many more like him are out there?

People snap/people want headlines/people are just fucked up.

Me and the Mrs applied for the Mars mission. That way we would be the only fucked up people up there. And there would always be space sex should we survive.

Yep.  F'd up people everywhere.  But my question, now that we've had a 2nd Ft. Hood incident, if someone snaps...is pissed...whatever....why is the option always picking up a gun and blowing innocent people away.  Are there not better ways to blow off steam?  Deal with your anger?

I think about this. Likely, many of us have met some of these. Stood next to them in a checkout line. Conversed with them on the X. You never know.

I think because picking up a screwdriver, bat, iron, etc. would not work as efficiently. You could not get as many people in a short time frame. If you come after somebody with an iron, you would need a really long extension cord. Guns just work better.

Makes sense when you put it that way.

Iron fights can happen especially after a few (a bunch) of beers. ( I lost)
