Could not listen to the audio - what was in the smaller box?  Cremains?  Personal effects?

I would guess personal effects, which are normally delivered by a Chaplin to the family.

Very well done Delta! I could not make it even a minute before having to stop watching it. That song and anytime "Taps" is played gets me all messed up inside.
