Alabama is a "WELFARE STATE" that gets back about $1.47 for every dollar they contribute. Illinois get's back about $.77 while Alaska gets back $6+. Indiana use to be the only state that broke even. I guess that's changed due to the economy.

Or maybe they have low overall taxes and are good states to do business in dodo bird.

http://www.businessinsider.com/maps-that-explain-the-world-2013-2#tax-payback-red-indicates-states-that-get-more-than-a-dollar-back-for-every-dollar-of-taxes-paid-1

Starts with states that get more than a dollar back for every dollar paid in taxes.
...

The very same "Red" states on that FedGov welfare map also seem to be the most obese AND vote Republican in the plurality...coincidence?  At least on the whole we're the happiest nation and we also prefer beer as our most-consumed alcoholic beverage...which would explain why "beer" tweets look to outnumber "church" tweets when compared.  Fascinating.

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

No, they have low revenues due to lack of industry/corporate taxes (sales taxes, income taxes, fuel taxes, etc.) and budgetary concerns, therefore, they rely on government handouts to sustain their spending or crooked political kickbacks. The feds rape profits and the state gets the money back from the feds, so your theory is null and void. It's a farce to think the state won't collect the corporate taxes the are entitled to. They're gonna get the corporations one way or another, they just choose the fed's route because it's attractive to industry.

I see you are worse than Chizad at teh fractionzz.

You also seem to think welfare is the only way a state receives money. Wanna know why Alaska is so high? Grants. Not food stamps.
