Alabama has been the least penalized team every year since 2007 except for 2009 when they were the fourth least.
In 2011, Alabama had ten less than #2 Kentucky and twenty less penalties than #3 Tennessee. That includes playing one more game than both teams.
In 2012, Alabama has 50 penalties in 13 games. Ole Miss in 12 games has 54.
Some amazing coaching going on in Tuscaloosa......
Out of 9 SEC games (includes SECCG), Alabama was penalized as much or more than the opponent in 6 games. When Alabama played Ole Miss (2nd least penalized in the SEC), each team had 2 penalties. In the Michigan game, Alabama had 1 less penalty than Michigan. Not really going to bother checking scrub team games. Alabama ranks #9 in the SEC in opponent penalties.
Alabama's fewest penalties per game national ranking the past 5 years:
2012: #6, 2011: #3, 2010: #24, 2009: #17, 2008: #5
Navy was the #1 least penalized team 3 out of those 5 years. They were the #2 least penalized team the two years they were not #1. If Alabama is shady for being best in the conference for 4 out of 5 years, Navy is apparently cheating like a motherfucker too if they're #1 and #2 in the entire country for 5 years.
Just thought I would add a little bammer spin.....
