Notre Dame gonna Notre Dame.

They've cancelled their 2015-2017 games with Michigan, and there's talk that the game may not be continued even after that.

So in essence, Notre Dame agreed to play ACC teams instead of traditional games like against Michigan.  This will give Notre Dame Duke instead of Michigan, and with the final playoff involving four teams, I have no doubt that the media sensationalist douchebag voters will prop up Notre Dame for being good just to have a story to write.

They're going to get the benefits of being part of the weakass ACC conference without having the drawbacks from being in the weakass ACC conference.

And don't kid yourself if you think the love for Notre Dame has diminished.  Still plenty of old geezers willing to vote for Notre Dame just because they have a decent team.

Chances that they decide to drop Navy?  Zero.

And I'm guessing that they won't be replaced with Florida State, Virginia Tech, or Miami.

No.

But that's not really germane.

Notre Dame will get years where they will play Duke, Wake Forest, and Boston College instead of Florida State, Clemson, and Virginia Tech.  Then, with the absence of more respectable opponents like Michigan (and who knows who else they're about to drop), Notre Dame gets a cupcake of a schedule.

And the point is that with that cupcake schedule, they'll waltz right into the championship race.  Probably won't matter because they'll get beat easily, but it will matter when Notre Dame keeps a respectable, championship caliber team from getting in.

It's called being part of a conference. Look at uga this year. Cupcake sched.

I get the anger with the notre dame hype but it seems no matter what they do people want to bitch about them. They are much like Texas in the fact that they are an acquired taste and wherever they go they are gonna demand to call the shots. They arent for everyone. The acc was the one willing to let them have things their way. Much like the big 12 And Texas (longhorn network).

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
