i do agree with your statement. The country is in for a world of hurt if obama is elected. for the record, i am a conservative
however, let's learn a lesson from history: In order to have a phenomenal president such as ronald reagan, you must have a failure of a president, i.e. jimmy carter.
Perhaps if Obama does in fact win the election, which he might, then his successor might be ronald reagan part II. just a thought.
If obama = failure. which we know is a high probability
then the next republican candidate might = "ronald reagan II"
As much as I would hope for that possibility, there are some items worth considering.
Even if Obama were elected, proved to be a complete failure, and a Republican won in the next election, would that President be able to undo the damage that Obama would institute as President? Consider Iraq and the war on Islamic extremists, Supreme Court nominations, domestic oil / fuel exploration and development, income tax rates, environmental regulations, etc...
Finally, everybody's moving towards the left. The candidates from both parties are more left than ever before. Obama is undoubtedly a Socialist, more so than Hillary, and Hillary is an economic-Fascist to say it politely. To be accurate, they're not even "Liberal" anymore, especially when you consider the classical definition of the term.
Personally, I think that the risks are far too great, and unfortunately, I won't be voting for McCain... I'll be voting against Obama and Hillary.
