I guess not a terrible assessment, but I think Arkansas being even behind Ole Miss is a bit overkill. I know they lose pretty much everyone, but I have a little bit more faith in Petrino than dead last in the west.

I see it:

1. Auburn
2. LSU
3. Mississippi State
4. Arkansas
5. uat
6. Ole Miss

Interesting take, Chizad.  Here's how I see it breaking out:

1.  Auburn
2.  LSU
3.  Ole Miss
4.  Alabama
5.  Arkansas
6.  Mississippi State

I think Ole Miss will surprise some folks this year.  I also think that this is the year the Croomdogs goes back to a sub .500 team.  Arkansas will start off slow, but I wouldn't be surprised if they finished the year on a hot streak as they get used to Petrino's offense.

Here is my worthless take:

1.  Auburn
2.  LSU
3.  Alabama
4.  Miss. State
5.  Arkansas
6.  Ole Miss

Miss State's defense will allow it to handle Old Miss and Arkansas.  AL is the only team in the west with an experienced senior QB returning.

This is actually more along the lines of how I see it shaking out, but because I do think us and LSU at 1 & 2 and uat and MSU at 3 & 4 are pretty much interchangeable, I'm looking at the glass half full.

This season in the west I personally think there are three teams that are interchangeable.  Alabama, Auburn, and LSU.  ALabama has to prove that they will not collapse mid-season, lose games like La-Monroe, and JPW has to actually be consistent.  LSU has to have a proven QB and they also have to maintain.  Auburn needs to find a starting QB and the spread has to be implemented fairly quickly.

Wow, the entire comment section is bitching about Auburn, from Corndog's to the Ar-kansas hogs.  They go from the whinning about the chop block, to the pass interference call in 2006, wahhhhh, wahhhh, wahhhh...Ar-Kansas fans are bitching about how we have no proven RB or QB.......

Like that has ever mattered before.  Reload, baby.  Stupid pork rinds.

If people are bitching about you, it's because they fear you.  And they should.

I think the UIC that Taylor was pointing out is that Arky starts Casey Dick and....uh...whoever was third string behind McFadden and Jones.

On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk

"bammas freshmen will take them to the top half of the SEC? Am I missing something about them? good lord are they X-Men? Everybody else in the nation is hindered by playing freshman but the bamma Super Friends will take them to the top half of the western division. They are undoubtedly the finest fucking assortment of players ever assembled in one freshman class ever in the entire history of the NCAA. They lose 4 games minimum.
