I too sprinted home from school like Depp describes to catch the gothic vampire soap. In its day it was far different from anything on television, certainly anything not in prime time and a great alternative to afternoon sitcoms. There is no trailer as yet but the prospects of Tim Burton doing the film have given me higher expectations for success.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Seeing Helena Bonham Carter, ridiculous costumes, stylized/outlandish sets and freaky visuals.

Burton?  One note.  He knows one note.  And he plays it repeatedly.  He was fresh and innovative in Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice but kept playing the same freak card every single time since.   Not a fan of his work AT FUCKING ALL.

He ruined Batman. He fucked Planet of the Apes in its hairy ass with his weirdness.  He pissed in Alice in Wonderland's mouth.

I had a little anticipation for Dark Shadows until I found out this one trick pony was attached.

Boo to Burton.  Fuck that weirdo.  He'll ruin this too.
