Sorry Prowler, but you know better than that to be the reason he is getting limited carries and that is why bullshit is being called.  If he has a concussion that is bad enough to give him limited carries, then you don't play him at all.  If it's that bad, then one wrong hit ends his career.  You don't take that chance.

I buy that he is being saved for the tough Oct schedule more than a concussion.

THIS...all of it.

And if the second statement is true, I do not agree with it.

And I like The Prowlers' idea of moving Sanders to LB. Holland might be better suited on the outside anyway. He flies to the ball and is very aggressive if we can keep him from getting tied up. I'm encouraged by the better play of the secondary and they are really going to have to up their game if we are going to survive October.

It's a catch 22 situation. I can get behind this, but I don't think you can do it mid season.  I would think that Sanders has the "football smarts" but I don't know if he could learn the position fast enough.  I can get behind it b/c he is one of our best athletes and seems like he is a baller and I want him on the field.

I can't get behind it because if you made that move, you lose out on a kid that apparently looks like he can carry another 20lbs and move inside.  You also spend a year teaching him a position that next year will have Garrett, Holland, Evans, Gaston, Frost, Rah Rah, Landrum, Mitchell, McKinzey, and maybe Swain and Harrell.

In HS, he played an OLB position, so I wouldn't think it would be that huge of a learning curve. I would just be afraid of another Bates situation. That bastard was a ballhawk in the secondary, but hasn't really done anything at LB.

Bates probably gets to the ball faster than anyone on the D.  It's just that he goes full on tard once he gets there.

Well, a college system should be a hell of a lot more complicated, but then again, we are "simplifying" it.  I wouldn't mind him being on the field, b/c he gets after peoples asses, but then again, with what is coming in, and him being able to add more weight, I would like for to stay as is.

Bates probably gets to the ball faster than anyone on the D.  It's just that he goes full on tard once he gets there.

This frustrates the hell out of me as a fan, I know it is frustrating to a coach.

In our system, I'm assuming the MLB is responsible for making the calls?  I recall a few years ago when they experimented with Quentin Groves at outside linebacker for a couple of games late in the season.  I was pumped and thought this guy could wreak havoc on opposing QB's.  Derrick Thomas type.

Fish out of water.  Even I could tell with my untrained eye that he had no clue how to get off a block.  The experiment didn't last long.

I was about to bring that up.  It lasted all of two game I believe, Ole Miss and Homecoming.  Maybe extended into the UGA game.  When we played the IB that year he was back at DE where he belonged.

Anyone know if some of the guys held out this weekend will be back?  Most notably, Evans, Ford and Davis on D and Lutz on the O?

Oh yeah, and do you expect Michael Dyer to get any carries Saturday?  I'll hang up and listen.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

Supposedly, they were saving him in order to run 50 times into a stacked box. The bad part is, he will probably be out with a concussion afterwards.
