I told you it didn't look promising.  You know Ronnie Van Zandt is spinning in his grave at the sideshow act his band has become. I love the original Lynyrd Skynyrd but the cover band that they've become really pisses me off. They were certainly country folks from Jacksonville originally, but I guarantee most of the original guys would be pissed to see them turn into a shitty symbol for redneck culture while their counter parts (Allman Bros) are continuing as legitimate musicians.

I hate that fucker with all my heart and soul. Why they took what was one of the great bands and sounds of that era and chunked it all in the toilet for ONE mainstream album, is beyond me. I've got a lot of their early stuff on my iPod and just get into listening to real musicians play some of the most original music on the planet. I can listen to South City Midnight Lady every night.

We were at a charity function one night a few years ago and he was the entertainment.  He cannot sing for SHIT anymore**  - he strains so hard when he sings that he looks like he is constipated and trying to take a shit.  We left after dessert.  It was BAD.

Dude said he grew up in Auburn and got a journalism degree. Either way, that does make him more of a legitimate journalist than Brooks, and that's not even what he was alleging.

Brooks is a piece of shit.  He can't even keep himself above the fray.  His schtick is Tigerdroppings level, and the only difference is he's not hidden in cyberspace, but he is simply taking shots to get a reaction.  Someone needs to give him one that he'll remember.
