I wonder if Gus staying would influence Cam to stay another year... or vice versa.  Can you IMAGINE what having them both together for another year would be like?  We have a nightmare of a road schedule next year -   at Clemson, at Sakerlina, at Arky, at LSU, at Georgia.  Ugh!  And I have never witnessed an Auburn win in Red Stick for all the years that I have been attending that game.  Having Gus and Cam lead us into Tiger Stadium might FINALLY give me the joygasm that has long eluded me in that wretched place.

Honestly, this is a huge hire for the SEC.  You get the right guy in there and we could all be sucking hind tit again.  UF has everything in place and just needs new blood in there, hungry to get on the recruiting trail.  Like I said, after going to the FSU/UF game weekend before last, that's just not the same team as we've seen in the past...however, they aren't that far off either.  It's like they got down and just rolled over.  I thought they were a good bit more athletic than FSU but it was like a couple of bad things went agaisnt them and they just went through the motions from that point on.

This may go against my recruiting take above about getting the right guy....but I just heard a stat that Gary Patterson's recruiting ranking per Rivals in 07' and 08' were like 87th and 113th.  What if....?

I agree, he was the #2 choice for the Uf job when Meyer was hired.
