Earlier today, I threw up my hands and said FUCK IT. Too much shit, too many conflicting stories, so much inuendo, so much opinion being presented as fact, so many fingers pointing that it looks like a fucking Mexican Standoff (sorry Sweets).
And honestly? I think many of the sportswriters are doing the same.
Lots of stories about "Lots of smoke but no fire".
Lots of stories about "Cam still deserves the Heisman unless we get FACTS."
Lots of stories about "Let's see how it all shakes out."
Lots of stories about "We may never know."
Lots of stories about Thayer Evans having Goat AIDS. (It must be true - I read it on FB.)
I think a lot of writers smell something fishy in a lot of different directions. I also think, however, that they are getting as sick as we all are about parking tickets and "he said to someone who said to someone who might or might not have told some fucktard in the FL video department...".
Information overload. Contradictions and bullshit mixed with facts and wishful thinking. Any writer worth his salt at this point has to throw on the brakes and breathe a moment, and decide whether to join the lynch mob or stick out a foot and trip the head torch bearer or just slip out the back and let it waltz on without them.
