Some numbers to consider...
« on: November 01, 2010, 10:35:29 AM »
Auburn's offense is racking up yards, and scoring points at a blistering pace.  #10 overall, and the only teams ahead of Auburn are the likes of the WAC and Mtn West....except for the #1 offensive team, Oregon, averaging 14.8 points per game more than Auburn.

This is the rankings of the teams each have played in Total, and Scoring D

Oregon's opponents
:

NM: 118,119
Tenn: 57, 93
Portland St.: 113, 114
AZ St.: 38, 54
Stan.: 30, 40
Wash. St.: 120, 116
UCLA: 94, 91
USC: 79, 51

AU's opponents:

Ark. St.: 116, 91
MSU: 34, 13
Clem: 48, 18
USCe: 59, 26
LaMo: 77, 86
UK: 50, 94
Ark: 31, 46
LSU: 7, 10
OM: 81, 107

5 of Oregon's opponent's defenses are ranked in the bottom 1/4 of the NCAA in Scoring D.  4 of Auburn's are ranked in the top 1/4.  Oregon only has one team with a defense ranked above 50th, Auburn has 5.  We've faced 3 top 20 Def's, and they've faced none.

Just found it interesting.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Would help if maybe some folks would pay attention when assigning "style points" huh?

Oh, and if we played them today...they would have only faced 2 defenses statistically tougher than Auburn's in Stanford and AZ St.
